Each year our scholarships are awarded to students all over Queensland and the Northern Territory. These scholarships help ease the financial costs of education and training for regional children.
The Winchester Foundation welcomes all applications and each one is assessed by our Board of Directors, we encourage all regional students and their families to apply for a scholarship to help make their career goals a reality.
Top 10 Tips For a
Successful Application
We want your application to be successful, so here are our top 10 tips to get you past the post.
- Make sure you have read all the information before applying.
- Ensure you have all the relevant documents ready to upload.
- Check and confirm the opening and closing dates for applications.
- Include your last 2 School Reports along with any other achievements.
- Write a short paragraph outlining your proposed educational path.
- Include the boarding costs for the school, university or other education facility you’ve selected.
- Include information about any Government Assistance your family receives. If your application is successful, a confirmation letter from the educational institution or boarding school may be required to confirm their costs.
- Copies of your family’s current individual income tax returns and individual notice of assessments must be included in your application. Should your family operate or have an interest in a Partnership, Trust or Company, we also require their current Business Financial Statements and associated income tax returns or a financial letter from their accountant. This information can be returned to your family or destroyed upon their instruction. Students who earn an income must also submit the above information with their application.
- Submit all the required information by the due date.
- Set a reminder note to yourself if you’re approved for the second round of funding.
