Scholarships are open to children and youth in rural and regional areas looking to reach their career dreams through access to great education.
We endeavour to provide rural families with the same educational opportunities as those given to students living in the cities. This assistance is provided via Winchester Scholarships designed to assist with the study costs of successful applicants.
Winchester Scholarships are available for students in the primary and secondary education system, as well as youths studying for trades or tertiary degrees. We strive to help students reach their unique potential.
The Winchester Foundation was established in 2011 as a Public Foundation by the late Mrs. Beryl Neilsen OAM. Beryl was awarded an Order of Australia Medal in 2021 for her advocacy of opportunities for rural children.
The Winchester Foundation is a lasting memento to her husband and herself and is named after their property known as “Winchester Downs”.
The Winchester Foundation was created to provide educational assistance to children and young people living in rural and regional areas. Many of these children are disadvantaged due to their locations.
As a Registered Public Foundation, donations made are tax-deductible. All donations provide Recipients with a better future.
We are fortunate to partner with some fantastic businesses and with transparent distribution, we ensure that your donations go where they are needed most, making a lasting impact on the lives of these ambitious young individuals.
