Bridging Distances: ICPA Qld Conference 2024 Comes to Townsville

Get ready for a transformative gathering as the Isolated Children’s Parents’ Association Queensland (ICPA Qld) gears up for its annual conference, set to take place in Townsville on June 4th and 5th, 2024. Founded as a voluntary and apolitical not-for-profit organization in 1971, ICPA Qld has since grown to encompass 45 branches across Queensland, with over 1200 member families.

These members represent a diverse array of families residing in regional, rural, and remote areas, many of whom have preschool children or students attending state schools, boarding schools, Schools of Distance Education, or tertiary institutions. Their unwavering dedication stems from a shared passion: ensuring that their children have access to quality educational opportunities regardless of their geographical isolation.

ICPA family members are united in their commitment to overcoming the challenges posed by distance and ensuring that their children receive the education they deserve.

As a testament to their commitment to rural education, the Beryl Neilsen Winchester Scholarships proudly stands as a diamond sponsor for this year’s conference, and their 10th year partnering with them, which highlights their dedication to supporting initiatives that empower rural and remote communities.
