The 2025 Scholarship Recipient Luncheon was held at Winchester Downs on Saturday, 28 June 2025, bringing together scholarship recipients, their families, and Foundation supporters for a day of celebration, reflection, and inspiration.
A warm welcome was extended to the 165 attending recipients and family members by the Winchester Foundation team. The event was proudly emceed by 2014 Scholarship Recipient Brittany Vella, who was joined by fellow alumni Brendan Brieffies (2012) and Lisa Sercombe (2012). Together, they presented the 2025 Scholarship Certificates and acknowledged the presence of past recipients in attendance. Brittany, Brendan, and Lisa each shared their educational journeys and the pivotal role the Winchester Foundation played in shaping their futures.
Directors Cliff Flor, John Formosa, Richard Hughes, and John Smith, along with Station Manager Dale Woolley, took a moment to honour the legacy of Beryl Neilsen OAM, reflecting on her vision and the Foundation’s continued commitment to supporting rural students in their educational pursuits.
The day was filled with heartfelt stories, laughter, and gratitude—a true celebration of the Foundation’s impact and Beryl’s enduring spirit.
