On Saturday, 27 June 2026, the John & Beryl Neilsen Winchester Foundation welcomed scholarship recipients, alumni, families and invited guests to the annual Beryl Neilsen Winchester Scholarships Recipient Luncheon, a day dedicated to celebrating the achievements, aspirations and limitless potential of the remarkable young people who represent the future of rural and regional Queensland.
This year’s luncheon brought together 30 new 2026 Scholarship Recipients, 27 past recipients, together with their families, Foundation Directors, Ambassadors, and supporters. While many had travelled hundreds of kilometres to attend, everyone shared a common connection—the belief that every country child deserves the opportunity to pursue their educational dreams, regardless of where they live.
